Your Kilimanjaro adventure kicks off at the Londorossi Gate, the starting point for the Northern Circuit Route. The trail winds through lush rainforests filled with unique flora and fauna. After a gradual ascent, you’ll reach the Mti Mkubwa Camp, where the jungle’s symphony surrounds you.

Leaving the rainforest behind, you’ll enter the expansive Shira Plateau. Daylight reveals breathtaking panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s volcanic cones. Your destination is the Shira 1 Camp, where you’ll rest amidst the rugged beauty of the plateau.

Proper acclimatization is essential for a successful Kilimanjaro ascent. Spend an extra day at Shira 2 Camp to adapt to the altitude and prepare your body for the challenges ahead.

Today’s trek takes you to the Lava Tower, an imposing volcanic formation. While you won’t sleep here, the altitude gain and descent aid in acclimatization. You’ll then descend to the Barranco Camp, nestled in a stunning valley.

On this day, you’ll tackle the renowned Barranco Wall, a thrilling climb that requires some rock scrambling skills. Once atop, the terrain levels out as you make your way to the Karanga Camp, surrounded by breathtaking vistas.
